David Phillips paints in a flow state using his instincts and emotions. Some sources of his inspiration are: Mother Nature, Rap Music, Judaism/Spirituality, Romance/Lust, and the diversity of New York City.

​

Mr. Phillips received his B.F.A in Dramatic Writing from the NYU Tisch School in 2013. He then received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Law School in 2018. In addition to painting, Mr. Phillips writes, and performs standup comedy.

​

In February 2022, Mr. Phillips had 2 pieces featured in the group show The Factory, in Union City, New Jersey. In August 2022, Mr. Phillips had a solo show at The Local gallery, in Queens, New York. (He produced 18 original works for this show in one month.) In December 2022, he showed a collection of work at All Street Gallery in the East Village, New York. In October 2022, Mr. Phillips currently had 7 pieces showing in C&K Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. In June 2023, Mr. Phillips has two pieces showing in the comedy club, QED Astoria.
